After the sun sets in the Waikiki nightlife picks up. Since bars are open late in Waikiki (some until 4am) you’ll have plenty of time to explore the clubs and bars that Waikiki has to offer.
You’ll find that most of the nightlife will be located on Kuhio ave, which is the center street running the length of Waikiki. When the sun goes down that’s where most of the clubs will be. The other main drag, Kalakaua ave, is a bit more family friendly and will be much quieter later in the evening. However, don’t forget Kalakaua is where you’ll find many of the street performers who will be out until about eleven or midnight.
If you’re planning on going clubbing Kuhio is the place you’re going to look for. However, I’ll point out a few of the places that fit the bill.
Don’t forget about downtown Honolulu.
